Common questions

How do I work out a stokvel payout schedule?

Multiply the contribution by the number of members to get the pool paid out each round. One round happens per contribution period, and the cycle runs for as many rounds as there are members, so every member is paid out once.

How much should each member contribute?

Work backwards from the payout each member needs. Divide the target payout by the number of members to get the contribution per round, then check that figure is affordable for every member in a tight month, not a good one.
